We had these kebabs for dinner last night and they vanished. I actually made them since I was planning a recipe around them for a dinner and lunch box wrap with my #SundaySupper team for Sunday but I had to literally grab 2 skewers for my wraps before they got demolished. I have made chicken kebabs before but not the middle eastern kind. It was super easy !! Chicken chunks marinated in a spice mix of cumin, garlic, pepper, cayenne pepper and a generous amount of curicumin. I love using curicumin !! It is such a powerful antioxidant and add so much flavor and color to food. If you don’t have it as kitchen staple, you must! I doused the spice mix in apple cider vinegar to give it a nice sharp taste but you can use lemon as well. Apple cider vinegar is a good meat tenderizer though. I grilled some peppers and onions with it and after eating it we were in kebab heaven ! Serve with a salad and some rice for a great meal or eat it with some pita bread. Stay tuned for my #Sundaysupper post where I will be stuffing these kebabs along with some other goodies into a healthy filling delish wrap !
Nutrition Wise :
Good lean protein and some amount of fiber from the veggies. Super dose of curicumin power ! Curicumin has been touted for its high antioxidant power and is a powerful anti inflammatory and antiseptic. It has been found beneficial in the treatment of arthritis and pancreatic cancer. Also beneficial in prevention of Alzheimer’s.
Raw and ready for the grill !
Close up ! The onions were my favorite part !!

Indian grocery stores will sell it cheap ! You may find it in international markets, health food stores and ethnic stores. Online is probably your best bet. I have so much ( the original stuff from India) I can mail you a pack if you want. It will last forever coz you only need a pinch 🙂 Let me know if you want. Will be happy to mail you some.
