My kids were craving smoothies a few days back. Sadly my fridge was quite bare, but I did have carrots ( a veggie that magically keeps growing in my fridge ) apples( another staple) and a lot of frozen bananas …from all the times I buy too many and freeze them before they turn ” Gross“… Kid language! Carrots and apples got juiced and then went into the blender with the banana. My youngest wanted that creamy taste to her smoothie and of course chef mom ( minus the chef hat ) added a little yogurt to hers! They were super delicious and soon my kids who are usually not too crazy about carrot juice were lapping it up. We tried freezing them and in few hours had pretty cool marbled “tie and dye” Popsicles ! Creativity turned into a new recipe which will, I suspect become a family favorite. Talk about “Necessity becoming the mother of invention”. The new recipe got patented and got it’s own recipe card, complete with music which am sharing with you. Enjoy !! Great way to sneak some veggies into your diet … not to mention a burst of Potassium and Vitamin A , all in a yummy, lick worthy Popsicle or slurpy smoothie ! Click to see the recipe in action !

Pretty cool and smooth! Wow and sooooo easy too!! Can't wait to slurp it down or maybe I will freeze it!
Yummers !! Do you think store bought carrot juice would work as well !! Odwalla ?? – Jenny
Hi jen ! Yeah , store bought would work too…. but try Costco… They have a nice deal on Carrot juice and it's organic!! Also, stores like Trader joe, Whole foods etc would have a better deal than Odwalla !
Hey Sue ,Tries out the smoothie on my brood and they licked it up ;)We made pops! I think it's the apple juice that makes it sweet! No need for sugar! Thanks Pal… am going for the melon frosty next PPPP!
Hi Grace, Yes the apple juice is a natural sweetener! Makes any smoothie sweet !I try to use at least a little apple juice in all my smoothies. Try out the melon freeze and let me know how it goes!
Sounds awesome! And I've never heard of freezing bananas! That sounds like a really good tip that I'm going to try 😀
